The “Styles Upon Styles Popping Battle” category will be open to any Popping related dance style. Dancers can mix it up, Popping,  Boogaloo, Robot, Strutting, Waving, Tutting, etc. Or they can stick to their specialty of one style and try to win. This category is judged by JRock (ABM Crew/EB Fam) a world renowned Popper, performer, educator, and battle champion who is also an artist at Cirque Du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE here in Las Vegas.

The “Robot and Animation Battle” category will focus on the illusional and creative aspect of dance. Dancers will compete to see who has the most animated and illusional style by using styles like Robot, Boppin, Animation or mixing it up to create their own approach to looking unreal in their dance. This category will be judged by master of creativity and illusional moment Slim Boogie (MGF) from LA, a battle champion and respected leader/teacher within the community for years.

The “Waving Battle” category will focus on fluid movement. Moving like water, wind, and snakes will be the challenge for this battle. Using styles like Snaking, Waving, and mixing other elements like Animation or Popping hard with your waving style is all welcome. Whether you’re a traditional Popping Waver or an experimental mover that likes the challenge of moving like water or wind as a concept, this is the category for you. This battle will be judged by Funktion (ABM/Wave Gang) from LA, the Waving and Snaking style master himself, often called “your favorite Waver’s favorite Waver) Funktion has been an underground legend within the style for decades.

Doors open at 11am, prelims start at 12pm (sharp!), battles start at 1pm battle ends at 3pm
