The Space is home to the Las Vegas outpost of the Entertainment Community Fund (formerly the Actors Fund). Founded in 1882, the Entertainment Community Fund is a national human services organization created to meet the needs of our entertainment community with a unique understanding of the challenges involved in life in the arts.
The Entertainment Community Fund provides human services nationally for people who work in film, theater, television, music, opera, radio and dance. They support everyone on stage, camera and behind the scenes to support a life in the arts.
Since 1882 they’ve helped address the specific needs of entertainment professionals—with a unique understanding of the challenges involved with a life in the arts, and with the knowledge of what it takes to thrive in an often unpredictable industry.
With a broad spectrum of programs, a calendar of workshops, support groups, online resources and emergency financial assistance, The Entertainment Community Fund supports the unique, essential needs of all who work in performing arts and entertainment. ECF helps with Emergency Financial Assistance, Affordable Housing, Health Care and Insurance Counseling, Career Development & Management, Senior Care, and more.
With viewers from across the world, The Space and Mondays Dark raised $122,000 for the Entertainment Community Fund in 2020, benefiting Las Vegas-based entertainers who were affected by the pandemic and shutdown of Las Vegas. With a short staff, we live-streamed the Mondays Dark Telethon for over 7 hours with entertainers, dancers, comedians and headliners from the Las Vegas Strip.
