Record Release for Heather Anne Lomax (Blackbird Record Label recording artist)
“Rock and Roll with heart and conviction..powerful performances, rich
melodies and emotional honesty. It’s rock and roll with soul, scars, and
conviction-loud enough to shake the walls, and honest enough to break
your heart”-Blues Magazine.
“Lomax sings with a force that never sounds airbrushed, the energy, tonal
nuances and lift can all be heard”-Guitar Girl Magazine.
Blackbird Record Label recording artist Heather Anne Lomax is an artist
blending Rock, Blues, Americana and Soul into a sound that is both
timeless and deeply personal. She has spent the last 24 years in Los Angeles carving
out her own lane, earning critical acclaim, international radio play, and
sharing stages with artists such as Wynonna and The Big Noise, Lee
Ann Womack, Blake Shelton, Blood Sweat and Tears, the late Kenny
Rogers, and The Marshall Tucker Band among others. Her last album (“The Doman Tracks”) was sparked by a moment of kismet on stage at The Troubadour, where performing songs by the
Broken Homes ignited a fire within her. Recorded live at Robbie Krieger’s Love Street Studios in Los Angeles, the record captures an organic,1970s-inspired electric energy.
Produced by Zachary Ross, mixed by Jason Hiller, and mastered by Maor Appelbaum, it features a standout collective of renowned musicians and is all original material, with one song recorded in tribute to the late Michael Doman of the Broken Homes.
Heather’s music is rooted in emotional honesty—what she calls “a vehicle of catharsis”—she hopes to invite listeners into a shared, deeply human and soulful experience. Her journey is as rich as her sound: adopted at birth, she later discovered a lineage of artists and musicians, including a connection to famed ethnomusicologist Alan Lomax, and reclaimed her birth name in honor of being transformed by the discovery of her birth.
